The season is closing at the end of the month. We can now look back at yet a splendid year. We got 21 salmon with an average weight at 6.1 kg and the biggest at 111cm and 12 kg. All beautiful healthy fish. The fishery is not advertised except for this homepage. This means that the fishing intensity is very light. Only 13 fishing days out of 195 days in the season were used. On average 2.5 fisher per day. This of course means that the catch rate was very high – world class. As usual the catch rate was especially high in the autumn when the grilse (2-3 kg) and 2-sea-winter salmon (3-6 kg) come into the river and the large multi-sea-winter (6 -20 kg) is getting provoked by the “new comers” and takes the fly again. We also got a handful of nice sea trout with the biggest at 3 kg.

The forecast for the coming years is very good. A lot of improvements in the river system have been done and still more are planned. Dams have been taken away and spawning gravel sites have been restored. A large tributary has just been opened for migrating fish and 41 km of prime salmon river are now accessible for salmon, in addition to the 102 km already available, in total 143 km.
